Video Production

Our video production courses are based on the theoretical and practical exploration of design and production techniques for video as a medium of communication. Students learn the basics of video production - the use of digital video cameras, rules for shooting professional level video, and techniques for storytelling through the use of moving pictures.

Our production courses include the hands-on use of studio cameras, DSLR video cameras and iPhones as the primary sourcing devices, with post-production resources including the Adobe suite of tools and Final Cut Pro X. Students have the ability to check-out tripods, DSLR cameras, lighting packages, microphones, gimbals and stabilizers and more for field use.

Students also learn the basics of lighting techniques and audio acquisition, both in the studio and on location. AIC has a TV studio with green screen capabilities and a radio control room/studio for recording audio.



Projects include the creation of documentary short subjects, narrative short films, commercials, theatrical plays and more. We tailor projects to the interests of students, who leave our program with a portfolio of work to aid in their post-graduation career searches.
